as an ancient city with 2500 years of history, shaoxing is considered as “a museum without walls”. in modern times, its name was connected with a famous writer—lu xun. “hometown of lu xun” is lu xun’s native land where he grew up when he was young, and it is the most well-protected and classic historic block of ancient watery town in the shaoxing city. due to its thousands of years’ history, shaoxing presents its unique local charm with its colorful culture, attracting people home and abroad.
