武夷山风景区位于福建省武夷市南郊，武夷山脉北段，属典型的丹霞地貌，素有“碧水丹山”、“奇秀甲东南”之美誉。武夷山分布着世界同纬度带现存最完整、最典型、面积最大的中亚热带原生性森林生态系统。其山与水完美结合，人文与自然有机相融，以秀水、奇峰、幽谷、险壑等诸多美景以及悠久的历史文化、为数众多的文物古迹而享有盛誉。1999年武夷山被联合国世界遗产委员会正式批准列入《世界自然与文化遗产名录》，是人类与自然环境和谐统一的代表。
the mount wuyi scenic area lies to the south of wuyishan city, fujian province. popularly known as “no. 1 scenic wonder in the southeastern china”, the mt. wuyishan area has what is probably the largest, most typical and best-preserved humid subtropical native forest in the world. with a pleasant climate, fascinating scenery, abundant products, time-honored history and rich tourism resources, mt. wuyishan is well-known for its places of scenic and historical interests. it was listed as a biosphere reserve of unesco's man and the biosphere program in 1999.
