全景台湾——高雄
于20世纪初建立并迅速发展的高雄市，是仅次于台北的台湾第二大城市，也是台湾人口密度最高、重工业最发达的城市。她地处嘉南平原与屏东平原之间，扼台湾海峡南口，是台湾南部的海路大门，拥有台湾最大的国际港——高雄港。港区的外侧有一条天然沙洲——旗津岛，它如同一条巨龙蜷卧在台湾海峡的碧波中，成为一道天然的防波堤，为高雄港遮风避浪。坝内港阔水深、清波荡漾；坝外骇浪汹涌，水天相连；港内水不扬波，船只云集，充满浓郁的水都风情。
the city of kaohsiung, built in early 19th century, is the second largest city compared with taipei, and a city which has the most intense population and developed heavy industry. it lies between the jianan plain and pingdong plain, which is the sea gate of southern taiwan, owning the biggest international harbor of taiwan--- kaohsiung harbor. outside the harbor, there is a natural sand-bar which is a natural dike to prevent flooding for kaohsiung harbor. inside the harbor, the water is quite peaceful and boats assemble together in the water capital.
